Ranch Experiences
The Sandhills Task Force has teamed up with skilled ranchers to offer an annual summer internship and a longer apprenticeship on ranches in the Nebraska Sandhills. Participants receive hands-on training in ranching and ranch management. The work experience gained is invaluable, as is the opportunity to apply acquired knowledge in real-world experiences and witness firsthand the day-to-day job duties you can expect on a ranch. In addition, transferable skills such as communication and teamwork are obtained.

SPOTLIGHT
TK Rogers
TK is the 4th generation on his family’s ranch in Logan County. TK is the first male in his family to take over the operation since his great granddad started the ranch in 1892. The operation had been passed down through the daughters of each previous generation. Before coming back to the ranch TK worked as the County Executive Director with the ASCS in North Platte for 5 years out of college. TK is married to his wife, Christie, and together they have four children, Kenna, Lyndee, Delaney, and Eli. Their free time is spent chasing after the kids and their various activities.
